We meet beside the Stevenson building, in the Rankine Building car park at 5.30 for training. We run Mondays to Thursdays however all training is optional, so come as often or as little as you want!
Mondays and Wednesdays are always easy miles. There are usually 3, 5 and 7 mile runs and we have a variety of routes that take us all around Glasgow.
Tuesdays and Thursdays usually feature a training session with our coach John Montgomery and Club President, Des Gilmore. Training sessions will usually be intervals, however every so often it may be a tempo run instead. An interval session often consists of repetitions of between 200m and 1 mile, with a short recovery period inbetween. Sessions are useful for building strength and improving your speed!
Additional informal runs are often organised on our facebook group, especially at the weekends or during the holidays. So keep an eye out there or suggest something yourself if you ever want some company.
